The Master and Margarita

Mikhail Bulgakov’s novel, written in the first half of the twentieth century, is one of the most renowned works of Russian literature. It intertwines two plotlines: the visit of Woland (Satan) to the atheistic Moscow of the 1930s and the love story of the Master and Margarita, alongside the narrative of Pontius Pilate and Yeshua Ha-Nozri. The work combines elements of satire, fantasy, philosophical parable, and romance.
