The Russian folk tale “The Fox with the Rolling Pin” tells the story of a cunning fox who uses an ordinary rolling pin as an instrument for trickery. Going from house to house, the fox leaves the rolling pin for safekeeping, only to accuse the hosts of breaking or losing it and demand compensation.
